Hello!
I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend... today I wanted to talk about a very important subject, 'cancer awareness'. Recently I watched a very emotional video by Sprinkle of Glitter, many of which you may know. She spoke about her mum, who passed away from breast breast cancer at the age of 37. In support of this she has dyed her hair pink for the month and is raising money for Cancer Research UK. An amazing charity which tries to find ways to prevent, treat and diagnose to save more lives by doing continuous research.

This post is really raising awareness about cancer and how there is still no cure, however technology has advanced dramatically and with more donations this can continue to happen and save lives of those who are fighting so hard. Louise has set up a Just Giving page where people can donate to Cancer Research UK: https://www.justgiving.com/SprinkleOfGlitter
Please, please donate what you can, every little helps, the litter extra money is going towards a cure for cancer. So far she has raised £27,033.74. This is an amazing amount of money and will help the lives of many... but with our help, and you watching this we can increase this. If you can't donate then please feel free to raise awareness through your own social media and hopefully someone else will. If you have donated this goes without saying please always share and make other people aware, the more people that know the better chance of us making a change.
Thank you all so much for reading, and I hope that some of you have the money to donate to this amazing cause and charity.
Love

The Big Hoot!
Hey!
I hope you have all had a good week and your weekend is looking bright. Ever since I was young I have always loved art, which led me to take it for A-Levels. One place I always love it visit is Birmingham. One day I was visiting Birmingham and there were honestly massive owls painted differently all around the city... so I did a little research.
They are running an art exhibition (Wild in Art) working in partnership with Birmingham Children's Hospital. There are over 89 different owl sculptures to see and each one is decorated by individual artists! Each individual owl has also been sponsored by companies and organisations and at the end of the trial they will be auctioned off to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital. There is also owlets being creating by younger people which are being displayed in parliaments as part of their education programme.
The whole exhibition will run from the 20th of July to 27th of September 2015 and if you're interested is something cool to go and look around. If you want to auction for the owls then tit is due to take place on the 15th of October in ThinkTank Birmingham City Centre, but you must register before on line here.
A few of the owls I found:
Top left: "Nightingale"- Inspired by Demi Lovato and her song Nightingale. Lonely owl watching over a busy cityscape.
Top right: "Swirly Whirly Birmingham Owl-land" - Represetns the city's diverse population.
Bottom left: "Starlight" - Designed by artist working in Birminghams Children in Care, looking for children to be adopted or fostered: www.adoptandfoster.co.uk
Bottom right: "Selfie" - Inspired by the Selfridges store and the trend of taking selfies!

Thank you for reading, I know this was a little different but something I thought was cool and an amazing cause and way of making money for Birmingham Children's Hospital!
See you soon!
